Hi I am Kellie, a native speaker of American English from California, U.S.A. I graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language. During my time at university, I studied and lived abroad in Spain for one year. It was there that I gained fluency in the Spanish language and began teaching English to Spaniards. That was when I realized I had a passion for teaching and upon returning home became certified in teaching English as a second language. Since then, I have taught English in more than three countries, including the United States, Mexico, Ecuador and Spain. While in Ecuador I worked for an English Language School where I had different types of classes that allowed me to expand on my teaching style and method. The students that I have taught have ranged in age from 3 years old to adults. I have taught in a group classroom setting, private one-on-one classes, as well as over the internet. My teaching method provides each student with a custom-fit combination of grammar, speaking, listening, reading and writing. I enjoy using songs, games, and other resources in order to better demonstrate proper American English pronunciation and cadence. For intermediate and advanced students, I incorporate interesting discussion topics to expand their comprehensive abilities. I feel that I am an enthusiastic and fun teacher who is dedicated to getting my students excited about learning English.
